Our Story
Working as a carpenter & steel fabricator for several builders in Sydney, Steve James (founder of The Golden Ratio) progressed into a senior role in custom residential builds, renovations, complex remedial and heritage restorations.
The Golden Ratio Construction Co was established in 2015 and became a Pty Ltd company in 2017.
The Golden Ratio has since gone on to establish a strong reputation as one of Sydney’s premium custom builders - A dependable operation that offers clients dedicated service and impeccable attention to detail.

The Golden Ratio Construction Co. has the following:
- Workers Compensation
- $20m Public liability cover
- Construction works cover
- Personal accident cover for all contractors on site
- Site plant and tool cover
- Home Building Compensation Fund eligibility for both single and multi-dwelling construction (Mandatory on all projects over $20,000)
- WHS Management System to satisfy AS 4801:2001 (Mandatory on all projects over $250,000)
- SWMS for all high-risk tasks
